Join Our Distributing Product Team as a Product Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Distributing Team within the Services Product Team here at OS. This team is responsible for how our customers access, discover, and consume authoritative geospatial data. Acting as the bridge between technology and our users, we ensure customer needs and requirements are understood and reflected in our service roadmap and vision. It’s a dynamic time for the Distributing Product Team, with a range of interesting challenges ahead offering the chance to truly get stuck in, take ownership, and make a meaningful impact.
About the role
As a Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for the management of our API suite. You’ll work closely with Technology Product Owners to define clear, actionable requirements that guide delivery. You’ll also engage with a wide range of stakeholders across the business and with our customers.
This role is central to shaping the vision and roadmap of our services, ensuring they align with customer needs and OS’s strategic goals. Your ability to prioritise effectively will be key to delivering against our ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and shape the product strategy, vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives. With it all being implemented responsibly and priorities being reviewed and adapted accordingly
* Own the delivery and operational integrity of the API suite, ensuring it functions as a resilient, customer-facing service that reliably supports mission-critical use cases
* Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, adapting communication to suit different audiences
* Monitor and report on service health to support data-driven decision-making
* Conduct user engagement to understand customer motivations and how they interact with our APIs

We’re seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of cloud technologies and technical fluency to engage with modern infrastructure and software ecosystems. * Passion for building products that solve meaningful problems and drive growth
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
* Strategic thinker with strong execution and delivery capabilities
* Proven ability to gain deep user insights and balance conflicting priorities
* Analytical mindset to support data-informed decisions
* Familiarity with tools such as ArcPro, QGIS, and Maputnik is desirable

* Salary – £55,159 - £64,353 (dependent on experience)

Location
We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be based and required to spend a minimum of 1 day a week
