The Role
Energia Group have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Information Security Analyst based in Belfast.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented analyst to join our dynamic Information Security Team in Technology & Innovation. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You will work closely with cyber security specialists and business stakeholders to shape and evolve our security posture of the group, ensuring it supports strategic business outcomes. This is a growth-oriented role where your aptitude, passion, curiosity, and ability to learn quickly will be key to your success.
This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various domains of cyber security including security operations, governance, risk and compliance, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and development of our information security management system. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to support the organization's security practices.
What you'll need
* experience in an IT role, with an interest in developing a career in information security, or a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
* Demonstrate foundational understanding of cyber security principles (e.g. CIA triad, Least Privilege, etc.) and understanding of how it is used with technology and business
* Understanding of common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, and social engineering.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent MS Office Skills.
