Step into a key position where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will drive world-class engineering solutions for Schindler Group projects. This is a full time, permanent role. Duties & Responsibilities: Adheres to all company policies (including Code of Conduct and Health and Safety), procedures and business ethics codes. Ensure Application Engineering processes are in compliance with standards, norms and Schindler Group directions (ON, TK, ESS, etc.). Direct and organize resources to deliver financial and quality targets and provide more cost-effective solutions while achieving first pass yield and on time delivery. Possess a customer centric approach when providing support to internal and external customers. Keeps updated on detailed knowledge of the company’s products, processes, tools and services. Lives the standard of performance to "do it right the first time, every time". Ensure technical quality and compliance of Application Engineering solution. Perform Application Engineering activities (mainly for special and complex commissions). Approve Application Engineering documentation. Perform technical check of Application Engineering solutions provided by Application Engineering engineers. Perform the training of engineers. Process PDM Notification (TK, ESS etc.). Perform risk analysis and prepare the documentation for deviation requests. Execution of offers for custom lift and ordering of pre-engineered solutions to customised lifts. Ensure timely, reliable, cost effective and compliant engineering services through the MDC. Design and configure to develop new solution for custom lift components and complete lift replacement products. Carry out detailed process design calculations and design specifications. Create layout drawings according to guidelines and standard requirements. Perform final configuration to produce bill of materials. Avoid pre/post gaps due to materials, logistics or engineering. Carry out Four Eyes Principal and Application Engineering check before releasing drawings and ordering of a lift. Execution of Risk Analysis and monitor deviation to EC Type Examination. Technical support to internal and external customers. Travel to site for site survey and troubleshooting. Attend design client’s meeting when required. Perform technical clarifications. Solve and monitor claims (coordination with project / claims managers). Prepare and define documents required for site folders and O&M manuals. Book and monitor hours booked on Time Collecting Tool (TCT). Manage large and complex projects. What You Bring Extensive technical skills Interpersonal skills Verbal and written communication skills Commercial awareness Team working skills Customer orientated Results focused Education : University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor’s or higher Internal Application Engineering training (tools, methods) Professional experience : Significant experience in elevator & ESC engineering design, installation, and technical calculation Very good product knowledge and CAD (preferably also 3D) Relevant experience with minimum of 8 years in the lift industry IT skills: Proficient in various SAP transactions, Microsoft Office (including Outlook) BIM modelling, REVIT AutoCAD, LIFT designer PNC, Intranet, MODB and Lotus Notes database Preferences : Excellent command of design tools used by Schindler tools: Drive (including Sassi and Ziehl-Abegg), Rail, Car Weight Calculation Lift Builder Lift Configurator (LBLC) and Lift Designer CREO Parametrics / Simulate (Modelling Finite Element Analysis) What’s in it for you?
