About the SettingYou will be working in welcoming, specialist SEN schools supporting pupils aged 5-18 with needs including:Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsModerate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)ADHD and behavioural needsSensory processing difficultiesThese settings provide nurturing, structured support with strong collaboration between staff, therapists, and families. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a HLTA, you will:Provide focused 1:1 support tailored to the student's individual needsAdapt and deliver learning activities to suit ability and learning styleSupport emotional regulation and behaviour managementImplement personalised education and behaviour plansBuild a consistent, trusting relationship with the pupilWork closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionalsLead targeted interventions and support lesson engagement What We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is:HLTA qualified (essential)Experienced supporting pupils with SENPatient, empathetic, and resilientConfident leading learning activities and interventionsFlexible and able to adapt to changing needsSkilled in building strong relationships with students Experience with ASD, SEMH, or complex needs is highly desirable.
