An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full‑time Social Worker with post ASYE experience to join the South Young People’s Team. You will work closely with Senior Practitioners, Social Workers and Social Work Assistants, as well as with colleagues in Disabled Children’s Social Work Teams and other key agencies such as Health, Education and the voluntary sector.
Responsibilities
* Support disabled young people aged 18 to 25 in progressing towards independence.
* Conduct Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
* Provide support for young people as they transition into adulthood.
* Deliver high‑quality services to disabled young people, their families and carers.
Qualifications
* Post ASYE experience; degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Experience following qualification.
* Excellent social work knowledge, skills and values to deliver the best service.
* Full UK driving licence (reasonable adjustments are considered for those unable to drive due to a disability).
