We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to provide short-term cover on a construction project in Frome, Somerset.
This role will involve overseeing site operations on a new build retail unit, ensuring works continue to progress safely and efficiently during the cover period.

Project Overview
The project involves the construction of a new retail unit, with the current phase focused on extensive cut and fill earthworks across the site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safe site operations and ensuring clear communication with the wider project team during the cover period.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day running of the site during the cover period
* Ensure a high standard of health and safety is implemented and maintained
* Oversee ongoing cut and fill operations and site activity
* Maintain clear communication with the wider project team
* Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works continue to progress smoothly
* Produce a brief daily report summarising site activity
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Site Manager on construction projects
* Experience managing groundworks or earthworks operations
* Strong knowledge of site health & safety procedures
* Ability to take ownership of site operations during a short-term cover period
* Good communication and reporting skills
