Unilin is expanding its growth in the modular and sheet flooring market across the UK’s new-build housing sector and reactive commercial channels. We’re seeking a dynamic, customer-centric Key Account Manager to spearhead our expansion and strengthen our presence with national housebuilders and flooring contractors.


This role is pivotal in driving strategic relationships, unlocking new business opportunities, and ensuring Unilin remains the preferred flooring partner across the UK.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with national housebuilders and flooring contractors at HQ level, using a structured key account approach and decision-making unit matrix per customer.
* Drive revenue through strategic account management, proactive project acquisition, and leveraging central agreements at a regional level.
* Identify and track new project opportunities via CRM.
* Respond to commercial customer enquiries with agility and professionalism. Resolve issues by identifying root causes and communicating solutions across the business.
* Act as the conduit between sales and planning to forecast stock requirements. Collaborate with marketing and customer service to ensure sample needs are anticipated and assets are in place.
* Compile and maintain all relevant documents, pricing, agreements, rebates, programmes, SLAs, and marketing requirements in a central, accessible location.
* Serve as the Unilin legacy product champion within the commercial sales organisation, supporting colleagues through training and product expertise.
* Work closely with the UK Commercial Manager to shape and execute the strategy for the national housebuilder business, ensuring customers are kept up to date with the latest products and literature.

* Has strong, existing relationships with key contacts at HQ level within national housebuilders and flooring contractors.
* Deep understanding of the route to market and specification sales within the new-build housing and commercial flooring sectors.

* Works effectively across departments and with external partners. Shares insights, supports colleagues, and contributes to a positive team culture.


Desirable Criteria:

* Flooring industry experience
* A formal qualification such as a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
