We are currently seeking a Sustainability and Energy Optimisation Specialist lead to develop and deploy the S&EO roadmap across this complex manufacturing facility in Leeds. You will challenge, influence and change behaviours to ensure all staff members are aligned on SE&O targets.\n\nYou will collate and analyse data to challenge current processes and deliver measurable and viable business cases for future improvement projects.\n\nClient Details\n\nMichael Page have been engaged to source a Sustainability and Energy Optimisation Specialist for a global FMCG Manufacturing business. This client has multiple sites across the UK and Europe and supplies its' products globally.
\n\nDescription\n\nThe Sustainability & Energy Optimisation Lead will play a pivotal role in driving energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives. Based in Leeds, this position requires a forward-thinking individual to develop and implement strategies for optimising energy use while contributing to a more sustainable future. This is a key role for the business and will have the opportunity make a significant impact on site.\n\nReporting into the Head of Engineering with support from the group Sustainability function, responsibilities will include:\n\n· Development and implementation of 5yr Sustainability and Energy Consumption Road map\n\n· Work cross functionally with Engineering and Operations team to ensure all teams are aligned on site targets and vision\n\n· Collect data, build report and deliver business cases in line with Roadmap and site targets\n\n· Challenge and influence behaviours\n\n· Actively ensure you are upto date on all legislation and changes to government-led initiatives\n\n· Share best practice with other S&EO specialists across the business and group the Sustainability function and engage with industry leaders, community and other sites to bring new knowledge, innovation, technology, renewable sources and market our brand\n\n· Own weekly and monthly review with internal and external stakeholders, waste, energy, site consumption, project updates\n\n· Champion and be the driving force for the site's 2030 and 2050 carbon reduction and net zero targets\n\nProfile\n\nThe successful Sustainability and Energy Optimisation specialist will possess a range of the following:\n\n· Proven results developing, leading and implementing sustainability and energy initiatives on site within a manufacturing or industrial setting\n\n· Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and best practices\n\n· The ability to work autonomously and prioritise own diary\n\n· Ability to create and strive towards clear and ambitious vision\n\n· Self starter with the ability to work on own initiative\n\n· Strong demonstrable experience of reducing energy consumption across a manufacturing environment\n\n· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others towards sustainable practices.\n\n· Strategic and analytical thinker\n\nJob Offer\n\nA salary c.£50k\nComprehensive benefits package, including tailored career benefits\nGenerous holiday allowance to support work-life balance\nAn opportunity to make a tangible impact in the sustainability space\nA permanent role within a forward-thinking organisation in LeedsIf you are passionate about driving sustainability in the FMCG industry and are ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
