Overview
Job Purpose: The role involves working with children and teenagers with disabilities aged between 5 and 18 years. You will support and engage with 1:1s and small groups (mixed abilities/ages/challenging behaviour/complex care needs). Experience of working in a disabled setting (e.g., SILC School or an ongoing disability playscheme) is essential.
Qualifications
* Have experience of working with children & young people with disabilities/additional needs
* Be able to commit to working a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month (we are closed 5 weekends per year)
* Be able to attend training as required
* It is desirable (but not essential) that you have the appropriate qualification (minimum of NVQ Level 3 in play work or childcare).
