We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead a luxury boutique high-end, hotel in the stunning Lake District, conveniently located within easy reach of Preston .

The Role As General Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the property, ensuring flawless guest journeys from initial enquiry through to departure. You will embody discreet luxury hospitality, setting impeccable standards while leading a small, high-performing team.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring commercial acumen, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional, personalised service.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily operations across both exclusive-use houses
Deliver exceptional five-star guest experiences tailored to individual preferences
Manage and inspire housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services teams
Drive occupancy, revenue, and profitability through strategic planning
Maintain the highest presentation standards across both properties
Build relationships with high-net-worth guests, agents, and local partners
Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Coordinate private chefs, concierge services, and bespoke guest experiences
The Ideal Candidate Proven experience as a General Manager or senior leader within luxury hospitality
Background in boutique hotels, or private estates
Strong commercial and financial management skills
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
Discreet, professional, and guest-focused
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends as required
