Cloud Engineer | Kubernetes | Azure | Terraform | AKS | 2/3 days per week into central London | £70,000-£85,000 bonus benefits Method Resourcing are supporting a high-quality, regulated financial services organisation in the hire of a Cloud Engineer to support a major migration and modernisation programme. The role: The primary purpose of this role is to design, run, and continually enhance a cloud platform that is secure, dependable, and straightforward for teams to use. This involves taking responsibility for the health, performance, and ongoing development of their Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) environment, which supports hundreds of applications across development, UAT, and production. The goal is to ensure the platform consistently meets expectations around availability, performance, cost efficiency, and resilience. What you'll be working on: Supporting a large-scale migration from on-premise data centres into Azure. Delivering a blend of lift-and-shift for Windows-based virtual machines and containerisation into AKS. Post-migration work focused on improving observability, resilience, disaster recovery, and platform scalability. Working closely with developers to design and operate reliable, cloud-native solutions. What we're looking for: 2-6 years of commercial experience. Production experience in Azure (essential). Strong problem-solving and delivery mindset. Strong IaC capability, ideally Terraform. Strong scripting or programming capability (Python, PowerShell, or similar). Infrastructure automation experience. Kubernetes experience essential: upgrades, troubleshooting, workload patterns etc (essential). Ability to improve developer workflows via automation, templates, and documentation. Clear communication and collaboration across platform, security, and software teams.
