Salary: £43,000 per Annum

Role Overview
As a Class 1 (C+E) Driver, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of full loads using curtain-side and box trailers. you'll ensure deliveries and collections are completed on time, representing P W Gates with professionalism and care. This role is ideal for drivers who enjoy independence and take pride in maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out full-load haulage work using curtain-side and box trailers.
· Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely in line with company and legal standards.
· Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
· Maintain accurate records using a digital tachograph and follow driver's hour's legislation.
· Communicate effectively with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
· Represent P W Gates professionally at all delivery and collection points.
Essential Criteria
· Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.
· Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
· Maximum of 6 penalty points (no IN or DR codes).
· Experience operating curtain-side or box trailers.
· Excellent understanding of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
· Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach to work.
Desirable Criteria
It would be an advantage if candidates also have:
· Previous driving experience.
· Familiarity with PDA's (Personal Digital Assistant Scanner's) and vehicle telematics systems.
· Experience handling paperwork such as delivery notes, manifests and PODs.
· A strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing routes, schedules, or operational needs.
· A positive attitude and commitment to high customer service standards.
