We have a fantastic opportunity for a Section Manager to join our Responsive Maintenance team, delivering repairs and maintenance services to our social housing partner across the Barnsley area. This is a key leadership role where you will manage a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring worksare delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of operatives delivering responsive repairs and maintenance
* Ensure works are completed within KPI targets,timescalesand quality standards
* Carry out pre- and post-inspections andprovidetechnical guidance
* Plan andprogrammeworkstomaximiseproductivity and efficiency
* Support resolution of complex repairs and escalations
* Build strong relationships with client representatives and residents
* Ensure adherence to health & safety and company standards
* Provide coaching,supportand development to the team
* Monitorperformance and drive continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Experience in a supervisory or management role within repairs & maintenance
* Background in social housing or property maintenance
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Full UK drivinglicence
* SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
Desirable:
* Trade background (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, multi-trade)
* Experience working on responsive repairs contracts
* Knowledge of KPIs and service delivery standards
