The Role of the Maintenance Engineer
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for preventative maintenance and attending breakdowns across site equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Minimise unplanned downtime through effective fault-finding and timely repairs
* Identify root causes and implement long-term fixes to support continuous improvement
* Ensure safety, hygiene and quality standards are consistently upheld
* Work closely with operations teams and escalate unresolved issues where needed
About the Maintenance Engineer
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. C&G, ONC).
* Over 5 year’s experience in a fast-paced, automated engineering/maintenance environment
* Strong fault-finding ability (electrical and/or mechanical)
* Experience with PLCs, inverters, servo motors or pneumatics
* HACCP Level 2 or 3, IOSH or NEBOSH (desired)
* Fabrication and welding skills (desired)
