Location:
1. Office base: 101 London Road, Sevenoaks, Kent (TN13 1AX)
2. Work across West Kent properties and sites in Kent
Hours:
3. 42 hours per week
4. Mon–Thu: 8:00–17:30
5. Fri: 8:00–17:00
6. Optional out-of-hours on-call rota (evenings/weekends)
DBS: Basic DBS required
Purpose of the Role
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of West Kent tenants by delivering compliant, high quality heating and plumbing services while meeting all health, safety, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
7. Carry out gas and wet heating repairs, servicing, breakdowns, and installations
8. Undertake general plumbing repairs and fault diagnosis
9. Ensure full compliance with: Health & Safety legislation Gas Safe regulations and guidance
10. Collaborate proactively with: Repairs planners Service delivery teams Managers and contractors
11. Provide a positive and professional customer experience
12. Achieve a high first-time fix rate through: Effective van stock management Consistent quality workmanship
13. Participate in an optional emergency on-call rota
14. Take ownership of: Continuous professional development Keeping up to date with legislation and technical bulletins
15. Monitor personal performance against objectives
16. Act as a role model for the companies values
17. Undertake other reasonable duties aligned with the role

18. Jobs completed on time and within corporate targets
19. Gas and plumbing qualifications kept up to date
20. Productivity benchmark: 8 jobs per day
Essential Experience
21. experience in gas servicing, breakdowns, or installation
22. plumbing experience
23. Confident using mobile technology (e.g. tablets)
24. Strong communication skills (face to face and by phone)
25. Experience conducting dynamic risk assessments
26. Ability to: Work accurately under pressure Identify issues and take appropriate action Make sound, independent decisions Adhere strictly to regulations and processes Self-manage learning and development

Essential Qualifications & Skills
The role is covered by West Kent’s Gas Safe Registration. Minimum required certifications:
ACS (or equivalent):
28. CCN1 – Core Gas Safety
29. CPA1 – Combustion Analysis
30. CKR1 – Cookers
31. HTR1 – Space Heaters
32. CEN1 – Central Heating
Other:
33. DHWSS (Unvented Hot Water Systems)
34. Plumbing NVQ Level 2
35. Full, valid UK driving licence (company van provided)
