We have a genuine career opportunity for a L1 SOC Analyst to become part of our growing Cyber team supporting critical UK Defence and Central Government programmes. Office based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a hands‑on role where you'll grow your experience in: • Security operations and incident response • Threat monitoring and awareness • Cyber governance and risk management • Supporting mission‑critical national security work We are looking for experience in Splunk and Sentinel. Shift based. 2 x 6am to 6pm; 2 x 6pm to 6am, 4 days off. SC Cleared or eligible for DV Clearance is essential for this role. What you'll be doing: Supporting security activities for a dedicated Defence-sector client. Interpret customer cyber requirements. Recording and monitoring cyber activities, risks and findings. Identifying, assessing and mitigating cyber risks. Supporting bid responses and documentation. Staying current with cyber threats, vulnerabilities and best practices. What you'll bring: Some commercial experience in a Level1 SOC Analyst role. Working experience in SOC or Cyber. Ability to work under routine supervision and use minor discretion in resolving problems or enquiries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. It would be great if you had: SC OR DV Clearance. Knowledge and ability to explain the basic principles of Information Security Governance and how it applies within an organisation. Experience of Data Protection, Audit and/or Risk Management.
