Bank Care Assistant
Pay:£13.31 p/h
The Role of Care Assistant: This is a casual (bank) position.
Responsibilities
* You can be called in when required, and decide whether to accept any work offered.
* You will be at the front line of care delivery.
* You’ll help residents with personal care, medical care and social interests.
* You’ll build a bond with each resident, providing professional and emotional support during difficult times.
* You’ll assist residents with washing, dressing, eating, drinking, and getting around, helping them feel at home while respecting their dignity and independence.
* You’ll help develop residents’ Care Plans, including specialist support needs.
Pay & Benefits
* Pay of £13.31 p/h, benchmarked regularly against similar roles.
* Leave accrued pro‑rate at an equivalent rate of 31 days paid leave in a full calendar year, inclusive of bank/public holidays.
* Mandatory training provided as part of a comprehensive induction; must keep training up to date for future assignments.

* Sensitive, empathetic, and caring for others; building meaningful relationships and making a real difference.
* New to care or looking to retrain – no experience required; we provide all training.
* Natural calling to care, passionate and committed to providing exceptional care to residents, families and friends.
Eligibility to work in the UK, two satisfactory employment references, and an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Abbeyfield) are required. You may be asked to provide details regarding convictions; failure to disclose convictions may result in the offer of employment being revoked.
