An exciting opportunity has arisen for a cleaner to join our committed and friendly team at Blandford Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, achieving a high standard of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas throughout Blandford Hospital and for ensuring that a clean, safe, and comfortable environment is maintained for patients and visitors.
Responsibilities
* To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas
* Carry out high and low level dusting
* Clean toilets and hand basins
* Vacuum and mop floors
* Clean clinical and non-clinical areas, remove and rehang curtains
* Ensure the National Cleaning Standards are constantly maintained
Details
This post is 20 hours per week over 5 days, 3pm to 7pm daily. On site training and uniform are provided.
Requirements
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.
Additional context
These will include all high and low level dusting, cleaning of toilets, hand basins, vacuuming / mopping of floors, cleaning of clinical & non clinical areas, removing and rehanging curtains ensuring the National Cleaning Standards are constantly maintained.
This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing, expanding, organisation with a strong commitment to NHS values and putting patients first. The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff it recruits itself.
