What you will do Manage a team of Contracts professionals and provide direction and ensure alignment of business goals to contracts organization Responsible for ownership, development, implementation and execution of policies, procedures and process in accordance with our company and customers, identifying key performance indicators and managing production and analysis thereof Participate in and/or conduct front-end assessments of proposals Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks and formulate recommendations Provide business support and ensure risk mitigation when necessary Participation as lead or provision of oversight of proposal development with particular attention to contractual elements reviewing terms for acceptability and compliance with company policies and procedures, contract formation, negotiations and contracts administration within the business Participate in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers Support closure with customers when contractual challenges are present that require Contracts Senior Leadership engagement Continue to enhance the Contracts Program with the Central Contracts Team Responsible for leadership and talent development activities for contracts associates within the business and across company Internally works at all levels of the business with significant exposure and time spent with leaders of different SBUs and the General Counsel of Collins Aerospace. Coordinate between/among SBUs when contracts/proposal activities / common issues affect multiple BUs with the same customer Support audit or customer requests What You Will Learn Develop your industry expertise and experience Build your strategic leadership skills Learn from a highly dynamic and innovative business Experience & Skills Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Experience working with Government contracts and a working knowledge of industry regulation. Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the Contracts function across the wider business, including engagement with senior leadership and key stakeholders. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen, with the ability to balance risk, opportunity, and business objectives. Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder management and advocacy. Industry knowledge and experience are advantageous and will support success in the role.
