Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this is a high-profile role ensuring regulatory compliance, effective governance, and strong internal control across the organisation.This position offers significant autonomy and visibility, working with senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance with licence obligations, legislation and industry codes.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the business remains fully compliant with legislation applicable to UK non-domestic supply activitiesMonitor and assess regulatory change, collaborating closely with internal colleagues across Risk, Audit & PolicyImplement new regulatory requirements, industry policies, and programmes into the organisationCommunicate regulatory changes clearly across the business, ensuring understanding and engagementCreate, update, and embed compliance processes, policies and controlsDevelop reporting and governance frameworks to improve management insight and regulatory oversightLead regulatory reporting and timely submission of RFIs, liaising with stakeholders to streamline requirementsAct as primary contact for regulatory audits, providing guidance and direction to internal teamsEnsure Internal Controls (INCOME) activities are completed on time and to the required standardOversee Business Continuity Planning and maintain ISO accreditationsEnsure Third-Party Intermediary (TPI) audits are conducted in line with agreements and industry standardsWhat were looking forStrong experience in compliance within a regulated environment, utilities or energy sector is highly advantageousProven track record of interpreting legislation, implementing regulatory change, and ensuring operational complianceExcellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skillsConfident developing policies, controls and reporting structuresGovernance-minded, proactive, and able to work independently with senior stakeholdersComfortable engaging with regulators, auditors, and management teamsWhy Apply?This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal role with broad scope, ownership, and visibility.
