We are recruiting for a Pensions Actuarial & Risk Manager to join our growing Pension Services team. Our new offices are based at the i9 building in Wolverhampton, offering excellent transport links by car, bus, train, and tram.
What the day will look like
Responsibilities include:
1. Leading employer engagement on funding and risk matters, using advanced logic and complex judgments to support employer casework.
2. Managing a focused funding and risk management team within the wider Employer Services team, setting deadlines, workload, and overseeing employer casework, including onboarding, restructuring, and exit processes, ensuring legal and record-keeping compliance.
3. Overseeing day-to-day management of the funding and risk team, including performance management.
4. Modeling the organization's values and behaviors within the service area and aligning objectives accordingly.
5. Collaborating with actuarial, investment, and covenant advisers to deliver integrated risk management tailored to employer type, cashflow, and risk categories.
About you
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and strategic, with substantial experience in pension funding, risk management, and policy development. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, negotiation skills, and expertise in interpreting complex financial data are essential for decision-making within a multi-employer pension scheme.
