Role Overview
The European Payroll Lead is responsible for delivering payroll services for the European branches, including:
1. Managing outsourced payroll providers in line with contracts (2 vendors).
2. Coordinating with Vialto to ensure correct pay elements for International Assignee payrolls.
3. Managing payroll risk, compliance, and delivery to meet obligations.
4. Leading remediation of historical payroll issues.
5. Enhancing processes and controls to adhere to local standards, governance, and optimize operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement
A key part of the role involves strengthening engagement with senior stakeholders in the regions, including heads of country and finance, and embedding new working methods aligned with "Project Momentum" - P&C strategic big 5.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver payroll services in accordance with global policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of European payrolls, including International Assignees.
3. Implement the payroll operating model in Europe aligned with global strategies.
4. Drive process improvements, contract compliance, and efficiencies with vendors.
5. Identify and lead continuous improvement projects for payroll accuracy, compliance, productivity, and employee satisfaction.
6. Manage remediation of historical payment issues.
7. Contribute to the Global Payroll Communities of Practice.
Essential Capabilities
* Proven experience in payroll excellence.
* Deep knowledge of payroll regulations and systems for compliance.
* People leadership skills.
* Experience in governance and controls.
Experience
* Proven leadership in managing payroll functions and vendors.
* 5+ years of managerial experience.
* Vendor management and governance expertise.
* Project management experience supporting payroll initiatives.
