Job Opportunity
This role is office-based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.
Due to sustained business growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-driven Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. You will work across the business to develop and implement quality control systems and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do
Product Development to Production
* Collaborate with engineering during the design and prototype phases.
* Ensure adherence to product development processes.
* Lead the design transfer process from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring readiness and risk mitigation.
* Work closely with production engineering for effective integration of new products into assembly and testing.
* Review production batch records.
Design Change & Documentation Ownership
* Manage the design change process across the product lifecycle.
* Lead the release and maintenance of technical documentation.
* Maintain product Technical Files in compliance with standards (e.g., ISO9001).
* Support the Quality team with audits, non-conformance investigations, supplier issues, customer complaints, and product nonconformances.
* Work with suppliers to meet quality expectations.
* Train teams on quality procedures and standards.
What Essentials You Bring
* Degree in Mechanical, Product, or Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role, focusing on new product integration.
* Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
* Experience with QMS and standards like ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 is a bonus).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
* Risk Management experience, including FMEA in product development and production.
