Talent Finance are supporting a fast-growing distribution and FMCG business that is strengthening its finance function with the hire of a Reporting Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 1–3 years PQE who is looking to build their career in a broad, commercially focused role.
As
Reporting Accountant
, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting, analysis and insight to the senior leadership team. This is a true blend of
financial reporting and commercial finance,
you'll not only ensure accuracy and integrity of the numbers but also partner with the business to drive decision-making and performance as the company continues to expand.
What you'll be doing:
* Take ownership of weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity
* Provide meaningful analysis and insight to support senior leadership and strategic decision-making
* Partner with non-finance teams on
pricing, tenders, bids and commercial projects
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process, and prepare board-level reporting packs with commentary and recommendations
* Contribute to year-end reporting, statutory accounts and external audit liaison
* Build strong relationships across the business, acting as a trusted finance partner who translates financial data into clear actions
* Drive improvements in financial controls, processes and systems, and support wider growth initiatives
About you:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with ideally 1–3 years PQE
* Strong technical grounding with the ability to step into commercial conversations and add real value
* Excellent communicator and able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams alike
* Commercially curious, proactive and collaborative, with the ability to see beyond the numbers
* Experience in a
product-based or fast-paced sector
would be highly advantageous
