Financial Accountant Location: On-site (Manufacturing) Salary: £47,000 Overview We're looking for a Financial Accountant to support the delivery of accurate financial reporting and strong controls within a busy manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across operations, working closely with teams to ensure financial integrity and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintain balance sheet integrity through monthly reconciliations, review of accruals and provisions, and timely resolution of outstanding items Manage invoice issues (blocked/parked), identifying root causes and working cross-functionally to improve processes Partner with Supply Chain on inventory forecasting and stock provisions, ensuring accuracy and clear understanding of movements Support delivery of weekly and monthly reporting, including site submissions and performance tracking Take ownership of VAT processes and coordinate with Group Tax on reporting requirements and queries Strengthen financial controls across journals, purchase requisitions, and key processes, investigating and challenging discrepancies Support audit requirements and contribute to year-end activities Assist with daily billing, key reconciliations (e.g. GRIR), and provide cover for other finance roles when needed About You Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment preferred Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach Comfortable working cross-functionally and challenging where needed At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
