School Finance Consultant
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (dependant on experience). Permanent, full time 35 hours per week. Term time working can be considered based on a 35 hour week (41 weeks per year). 30 days holidays (plus Bank Holidays) and office closure at Christmas. Membership of a Pension Scheme. Flexible, Hybrid Working following successful period of probation. Free onsite parking when working at One Education offices. Based in Manchester travel to schools across Greater Manchester.

The team offers advice, strategical and practical support on a range of school finance, business management and administration. We provide bespoke training and guidance to schools and academies on finance and business management related issues, support schools in revenue and capital budget preparation and monitoring, closure of monthly and annual financial accounts and statutory returns. Responsibilities
* Assist with school finance, business management and administration support for schools and academies.
* Provide bespoke training and guidance on finance and business management issues.
* Support revenue and capital budget preparation and monitoring, and the closure of monthly and annual financial accounts and statutory returns.
* Identify the financial information needs of schools and academies and provide practical solutions.
* Support appointment and management of a busy workload with excellent organisation and communication.
* Contribute to sharing best practice across a team of professionals.
What we are looking for

* Ability to manage a busy workload with attention to detail.
* Strong focus on the best interests of schools and the children they look after.
* Willingness to travel within Greater Manchester; full driving licence and access to own vehicle is required.
* Experience in education is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Qualified to Level 2 in maths and English; CSBM/DSBM, AAT, CIFRA or equivalent qualification desirable.
