Overview
The Tax team work with clients across a broad spectrum, from high net worth individuals through to large corporates and not-for-profit entities. The team has an international presence and offers compliance services for complex clients through to delivering exciting projects of an advisory nature. As part of our dedicated Corporate Tax team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of business clients and deliver complex corporate tax compliance work for large UK and international companies and groups. You will also play a key role in a wide range of advisory projects, with a particular focus on R&D tax.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for WIP, billing and overall client cost management.
- Plan and deliver work effectively, delegating to and reviewing junior team members while providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Oversee and deliver high‑quality corporate tax compliance and advisory work, requiring final review only.
- Provide practical, commercially focused tax planning advice directly to clients or in collaboration with Audit and Accounts teams across the firm.
- Maintain a proactive understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements, applying this knowledge to identify opportunities and risks for clients.
- Support team development through coaching and mentoring, and actively participate in team meetings.
Qualifications
- ACA (or equivalent) and CTA qualified with experience of managing a portfolio of tax clients.
- Corporate tax advisory experience with strong knowledge of R&D claims.
- Ability to ensure technical and compliance standards are met in R&D tax files.
- Applies a forward‑thinking approach to technology, leveraging automation and AI to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Articulate communicator with credibility among clients and colleagues.
- Organised and effective in planning and delegation.
