The role

A well-established secondary school is seeking a Science Teacher to join its supportive and structured department. The school welcomes specialists in Biology, Chemistry or Physics, with teaching across KS3 and KS4, and potential KS5 for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can deliver clear, engaging lessons and support pupils in achieving strong outcomes across the sciences.

Northumberland | 11–18 Secondary School with Sixth Form
£163 – £ per day | PAYE | Dependent on experience

About the school

1. 11–18 setting with sixth form provision

2. Strong emphasis on academic progress and subject expertise

3. Well-equipped science labs and resources

4. Consistent behaviour systems in place

5. Collaborative and supportive leadership team

Key responsibilities

6. Deliver Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

7. Plan practical and theory-based lessons effectively

8. Differentiate to meet varying ability levels

9. Track and monitor pupil progress

The ideal candidate

10. QTS (or equivalent)

11. Specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

12. Confident in managing practical lessons safely

13. Strong classroom management and communication skills
