We’re on the lookout for a skilled Mower Operator to help maintain turf and vegetation along roadsides and public spaces throughout the Christchurch region. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working to enhance the appearance and safety of our city’s open spaces, keeping berms, medians, and roadside reserves neat, tidy, and well-maintained.

You will operate a range of mowing equipment, including tractors, out-front mowers, walker mowers, and other small plant machinery. You’ll be responsible for ensuring all equipment is well-maintained and that all tasks are completed to contract specifications - rain or shine.

You’ll also support the Christchurch based Open Space Maintenance teams with a variety of tasks as needed. Flexibility is key and occasional weekend work may be required.

What You’ll Bring to the Table | Ngā Mea ka Mauria e Koe ki te Rūnanga:

* A current Class 1 driver's licence.
* Class 2 driver’s license would be a bonus.
* Mowing experience is essential.
* The ability to work too and meet deadlines.
* Have a strong emphasis on health and safety.
* The ability to work independently and within the wider team.
* Physically fit and motivated to make a difference.
* Traffic Management qualifications, such as TMO or STMS are preferred but not essential.
* Working full-time 40 hours with no day the same working in different environments.

* Provided with a high-quality uniform, including full PPE requirements.
