We are partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, and controls within a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while supporting the wider business through accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
* Prepare statutory accounts preparation and external audits
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and oversee ledger integrity
* Support budgeting and forecasting activitiesManage VAT, tax, and other statutory reporting requirements
* Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support decision-making
* Contribute to process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
About You
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and/or IFRS
* Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
* Proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused
