Role: Farmers Market Sales & Driver
Location: Rhiwbina Village, Cardiff (Fridays), Roath, Cardiff (Saturdays).
Additional working hours are availble at other bakery locations if you require more hours.
Overview:
This role encompasses the complete cycle of operating our bakery stall at local farmers markets. You will be responsible for driving our state of the art fully electric vehicle to and from the markets, setting up the stall, providing excellent customer service, selling our delicious bakery products, packing down the stall, and returning to the bakery. You will work independently, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation while adhering to strict food hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving & Vehicle Management:
* Must have a full and completely clean license
* Safely drive the company's fully electric vehicle to and from designated farmers market locations (Rhiwbina and Roath).
* Ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained appropriately.
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Market Stall Setup & Breakdown:
* Load and unload bakery stock and equipment.
* Set up and dismantle the market stall, ensuring a visually appealing and organised display.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the stall throughout the market.
Sales & Customer Service:
* Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
* Process transactions accurately and handle cash and card payments.
* Promote and sell bakery products, providing information about ingredients and preparation.
* Maximise sales through excellent product knowledge, placement and customer interaction.
Food Hygiene & Safety:
* Maintain strict food hygiene standards at all times.
* Follow all company food safety protocols and guidelines.
* Clean and sanitise equipment and surfaces regularly.
* Observe and implement training provided on food hygiene, especially regarding allergens.
Lone Working:
* Work independently and manage all aspects of the market stall operation.
* Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Bakery Support (Optional):
* Assist with serving customers and other tasks at the bakery when required if looking for additional hours.
Requirements:
* Clean and valid UK driving license.
* Minimum age of 25 years (for insurance purposes).
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as full bread crates, tables and other products.
* A passion for food and a positive attitude.
* Commitment to maintaining high food hygiene standards.
* Flexibility to work most Fridays and Saturdays, with potential for additional hours.
* A willingness to learn and use an electric vehicle.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£12.51 per hour
