As a Junior Accountant, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across a range of accounting functions, supporting daily financial operations, assisting with management reports, and contributing to the smooth running of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with bookkeeping and the maintenance of accurate financial records.
* Support the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
* Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently.
* Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
* Help prepare financial reports for management and external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
Requirements:
* Strong numerical and analytical ability.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Well-organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Studying toward (or planning to study) AAT, ACCA, or a similar accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
* Up to 1–2 years’ experience in finance or administration is beneficial, but graduates and school leavers with the right aptitude are welcome to apply.
