Job Summary
Location: Berkshire
Salary: Competitive + growth opportunities
Are you a Chartered Structural Engineer with 5+ years' experience in building structures? Do you feel like your career has plateaued and you're looking for something a bit different?
If you're ready to step into a role where you'll make a real impact, both technically and commercially, this could be the move you've been waiting for - come join a multi award winning practice
At Michael Aubrey Structural Engineers, we're not just solving problems, we're shaping the future of buildings. From innovative RAAC solutions making national headlines to complex structural projects across the UK, we're known for our technical clarity, integrity, and client-first approach. And now, we're looking for the right person to join our team and grow with us.
What You'll Be Doing
* Taking the lead on building structures projects from surveys and investigations through to detailed design.
* Rolling up your sleeves with technical work while also gaining exposure to the commercial side of the business.
* Writing tender documents and contributing to winning new work.
* Building lasting relationships with clients who trust your expertise and enjoy working with you.
* Contributing to a collaborative, supportive environment where your voice matters.
What We're Looking For
* Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStructE or equivalent) with at least 10 years' post-graduate experience.
* Strong track record in building structures (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
* Someone who's curious, proactive, and ready to "get stuck in."
* Equally comfortable producing first-class technical solutions and talking to clients in plain English.
* A team player who's keen to grow personally and financially, not just tread water.
Why Join Us?
* Unlike many firms of our size, you'll get the rare chance to collaborate daily with our in-house Architectural team and experienced REVIT Technicians giving you a genuine design-to-delivery perspective and the opportunity to sharpen both your technical and creative skills.
* Take on meaningful projects that genuinely improve communities, from innovative structural solutions to transformative building designs.
* Join a tight-knit, ambitious team where your ideas are heard, your expertise is respected, and your contribution is recognised.
* Broaden your career beyond engineering by learning the commercial side of the business - from writing winning tenders to influencing business strategy.
* Enjoy a competitive package with transparent progression and rewards that grow with your impact.
* Most importantly, rediscover the spark in your career and shape the next chapter of your professional journey with us.
If you're ready to move beyond the same-old routine and want to be part of something exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
Preference will be given to candidates who are based within an hour's commute of Wokingham, Berkshire, and with the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship.
