We are seeking an experienced professional to join as a Principal Security Researcher.
The Security Research team, within Global Offensive Security, assesses system security, identifies vulnerabilities, and develops attack techniques.

In this role you will:
* Lead security research projects on HSBC’s critical services, ensuring controls are effective and do not expose the bank to significant risks.
* Discover previously unknown vulnerabilities and attack techniques.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce cybersecurity risks and improve HSBC’s security posture.
* Provide expertise and guidance across global teams.
* Engage with key programs critical to the bank.
* Understand the financial services industry’s security landscape.
* Work with diverse stakeholders to meet OffSec objectives.
* Drive performance, compliance, and security excellence.
* Develop tools and automate processes to enhance security assessments.
* Foster teamwork with global OffSec and business units.
* Build and maintain relationships across the bank.
* Identify new project opportunities and innovate.
* Analyze the evolving security threat landscape.
* Use innovative security solutions to meet customer and stakeholder needs.
Requirements:
* Experience in penetration testing.
* Experience in 0-day discovery and vulnerability disclosure.
* Knowledge of Linux, Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems.
* Experience with third-party vulnerability disclosure.
* Skills in black box security review techniques, including fuzzing and reverse engineering.
* Leadership skills to manage stakeholders and team members.
