* Financial Management & Probity: Maintain rigorous oversight of school service contracts, resource allocation, and operational budgets in strict compliance with trust policies and governance requirements.
* SLT Partnership: Provide strategic and practical support to the Head Teacher and wider leadership team, turning operational data into actionable school improvements.
* Compliance & Governance: Ensure all school support services meet statutory health and safety, legal, and educational governance frameworks.
* Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with central multi-academy trust teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure outstanding value and service continuity.
The Ideal Profile
* Experience: A proven track record in operational management, business administration, or school business management—ideally within an educational or public sector framework.
* Skills: Strong organisational, financial, and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex operations simultaneously under tight deadlines.
* Leadership Style: A dynamic, solution-focused professional who models excellence, thrives under pressure, and works collaboratively with diverse teams.
* Values: Deeply aligned with the academy’s core mission of fostering aspiration, resilience, and respect within a highly technical, specialist learning environment.
What’s On Offer
* Financials: Competitive local government pay scale (PO1-PO2, up to £48,227 per annum).
* Environment: The chance to lead operations within a state-of-the-art, industry-standard STEM specialist facility.
* Support Network: Benefit from the broader support, resources, and collaborative expertise of an established multi-academy trust.
Note: The school is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check in line with DfE requirements.
