As the Senior Buying Manager, you will:
* Act as a business owner, leading and managing the buying department, influencing capabilities across buying and commercial operations.
* Create and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs in all decision-making processes.
* Manage and drive end-to-end ownership of the category P&L and budgets.
* Develop and execute the long-term category strategy aligned with the enterprise commercial strategy across all channels.
* Source and collaborate with suppliers, managing costs to ensure Asda remains the retailer of choice for suppliers.
* Own all range, pricing, promotions, stock, and trading activities for the category across all channels.
* Collaborate with wider business stakeholders to align and deliver business plans.
* Lead transformation and change projects to maximize commercial and customer success.

You should have:
* Experience working in fast-paced, complex retail environments, with ownership of an end-to-end P&L.
* Proven experience at a Senior Commercial Leadership level.
* Strong strategic commercial acumen, including developing and delivering a 3-year strategy, understanding macro-economic trends, and balancing short-term and strategic thinking.
* Ability to make broad, enterprise-wide decisions and stay updated with external market trends.
* A well-rounded, forward-thinking commercial leader with successful experience in leadership and communication across diverse teams.
* A strong understanding of consumer behavior with a strategic perspective.
* A track record of pursuing growth opportunities and making ambitious decisions to improve business units.
* Strong data analysis skills for informed decision-making.
* People-focused with the ability to foster a positive, transformational culture.
* Driven, tenacious, action-oriented, and motivated by opportunity maximization.
