Overview
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in East Yorkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
Targeted Provision is on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, MLD, and SLD. We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors who are passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in East Yorkshire. You will be supported by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists and will often work one-to-one to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.
This role is a good fit for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with diverse learning needs.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role:
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing educational and social-emotional support
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions that meet needs and advance educational and social-emotional progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status:
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
