Maternity Cover – with opportunity for a permanent contract
GSL Education are working in partnership with a friendly and well-established day nursery in Brough, who are looking to appoint a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse on a full-time maternity cover basis. There is a strong possibility of a permanent contract once the maternity cover comes to an end.
This role is ideal for a caring, enthusiastic early years professional who is passionate about supporting young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse:
* Supporting children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework
* Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Observing and recording children’s progress
* Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements of a Nursery Nurse:
* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification
* Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
* A caring, patient, and proactive approach
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
