Responsibilities
* Supporting all clinical areas of the Trust as required.
* Taking personal responsibility and accountability for ensuring that Trust and local policies and procedures are followed and duties are carried out in accordance with the NMC Code.
* Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
* Supervision and guidance of other staff including healthcare support workers and students as required.
* Take regular responsibility to carry out required planned, direct patient care to a high standard without direct supervision in accordance with established nursing procedures and policies.
* Report to multidisciplinary team any significant changes in a patient’s condition or situation.
* Contribute to discharge planning in partnership with the multidisciplinary team where relevant.
* Ensure safe ordering, administration and custody of patients’ medications according to Trust policies and procedures.
Applicants Must
* Hold RN (adult) registration with current NMC license to practice.
* Minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience (15 months for NQN’s – 3 months preceptorship, then 12 months acute experience).
* Recent acute hospital experience within the last 18–24 months.
* Drive, enthusiasm and ability to commit to a 4-day induction programme if successful.
* Right to work in the UK (with relevant Adaptation/ONP if applicable).
* Ability to commence work within 3 months of offer.
