We are looking for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our team at Crookhey Hall, Cockerham. This role offers a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while still receiving full-time pay, subject to probation and successful completion of requirements. This is a permanent, term-time position with salary of £31,650 per annum (not pro rata).
Overview
Role: Humanities Teacher
Location: Crookhey Hall, Cockerham, LA2 0HA
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

Responsibilities
* Carry out the professional duties of a schoolteacher as set out in current school policies and under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
* Teach in accordance with the ethos, organisation and policies of the school as a fully committed member of the teaching team.
* Deliver the school curriculum in ways that maximise pupil achievement and development, with emphasis on providing creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs.
* Uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council (GTC).
* Maintain a strong safeguarding culture where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in decisions.
Qualifications
* Essential: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a belief that every pupil can achieve their potential.
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment; excellent classroom practice; strong teamwork; and high expectations of others.
* Resilience and ability to work on own initiative; commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
* Experience with SEMH/ASD is desirable; experience working with pupils from challenging backgrounds is beneficial.
* Driving licence (beneficial).

Crookhey Hall School is a Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) school for boys and girls aged 10-17. We aim to extend academic, vocational, social skills and personal growth, helping pupils build self-esteem and aspire to achieve their potential.
