Support Time Recovery Worker
Are you an enthusiastic support worker? The Home Treatment team in West Dorset are looking for a Support Time Recovery Worker to join!
As a support time recovery worker, you will offer support to a range of clients experiencing acute mental health difficulties and carry out assigned tasks as identified by the registered nursing staff in relation to patient needs. You will give time to individuals to promote their recovery and assist them to remain in the least restrictive environment whilst they recover.
Driving is essential as you will be visiting patients in their own homes across Dorset to support their recovery in line with an agreed care plan and prevent hospital admission.
You will work in a supportive multi-disciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop your skills and progress through training and supervision.
This is a full-time post, part-time will be considered. Service hours cover 9:00 – 22:00 seven days a week with shift patterns of 9am-5pm or 2pm-10pm; condensed hours would also be considered.
Responsibilities
 * Provide time to individuals to promote their recovery.
 * Assist clients to remain in the least restrictive environment.
 * Support patients in their recovery and help prevent hospital admission.
 * Collaborate with inpatient staff to support service users in discharge.
 * Assist and engage patients in organised, planned meaningful activities.
 * Monitor individual’s progress, level of functioning, and mental state.
 * Alert appropriate staff involved in their care.
 * Ensure patients engage effectively with agreed recovery plans and access appropriate services; bring concerns to Team Leader.
Qualifications & Requirements
 * Experience supporting clients with acute mental health difficulties.
 * Valid driving licence and ability to travel across Dorset.
 * Standard DBS check; DBS update service acceptable.
