Job summary We seek to appoint a Clinical Teaching Fellow to the Clinical Skills and Professional Practice academic team, based in Carlisle, who shares our passion and commitment to delivering an innovative education experience for our graduate-entry medical students within an environment that promotes multi-professional learning. Main duties of the job Curriculum Development and Delivery* Work under the direction of the module and subject leads to deliver high quality teaching in the CSPP module. This will primarily include small- or large-group tutorials, clinical skills, communication skills and simulation sessions, including where these sessions take place in ward or simulated ward areas.Imperial College London 3* Create, review and update educational material for the CSPP module, with appropriate support from the Head of Curriculum Development, and module and subject leads, for example: learning materials, lesson plans, assessments, and online resources.* Contribute to the production, delivery and marking of assessments for the CSPP modules, ensuring that students are provided with high quality, timely, and constructive feedback.* Identify curriculum or assessment areas where improvements could be made, applying necessary evidence and experience, and suggesting ways of improving provision and use of digital technology* Occasionally provide support for the delivery of teaching in other modules as reasonably requested.Profession and Practice* Remain professional in practice and maintain knowledge in own specialist area* Participate in the activities of evaluation and critical enquiry, contributing to educational research About us The Pears Cumbria School of Medicine (PCSM) is a unique partnership between Imperial College London and the University of Cumbria. You will also be involved in the ongoing development and evaluation of the programme.What we are looking forA medical degree holder with full GMC registration, who has: Successfully completed the UK foundation programme. Recent experience working as a doctor in the NHS. An interest and experience in medical education, and successful delivery of teaching. A good command of the core topics in clinical skills, professionalism, and communication skills.
