Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Senior HR Business Partner to provide immediate, hands-on HR leadership and stabilisation during a period of change. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will focus on operational excellence, people delivery, and leadership support within a manufacturing and blue-collar environment.
The successful interim will bring strong experience across TUPE, employee relations, leadership training, HRIS (BambooHR), and team management, with the credibility and pace to embed structure, improve capability, and support business continuity. This is a highly visible role requiring pragmatic decision-making, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver quickly.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the senior HR lead to the CEO, providing pragmatic, commercially aligned HR advice and execution.
* Lead and oversee day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliant, efficient, and fit-for-purpose processes.
* Manage, coach, and develop the HR team, providing clear direction, prioritisation, and hands-on support where required.
* Own and deliver TUPE activity, including consultation, documentation, compliance, and post-transfer integration.
* Lead and embed the use of BambooHR, ensuring data integrity, process optimisation, reporting accuracy, and adoption across the business.
* Partner with leaders to design and deliver management and leadership training, focusing on people management capability, ER fundamentals, and performance management.
* Provide hands-on support across employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and restructures.
* Support organisational change initiatives, ensuring clear communication, employee engagement, and practical implementation.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and HR best practice, particularly within a manufacturing / blue-collar workforce.
* Oversee onboarding, inductions, and training coordination to ensure consistency and quality of delivery.
* Provide oversight of Health & Safety and wellbeing activity, maintaining registers and supporting investigations where required.
* Coordinate key HR cycles, including salary reviews, bonus processes, and contract updates.
* Produce clear HR metrics, insight, and risk reporting for the CEO to support decision-making.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience operating as a Senior HR Business Partner or Interim HR Lead in a fast-paced environment.
* MCIPD or equivalent
* Working knowledge of BambooHR (implementation, optimisation, reporting, and user adoption).
* Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering leadership and management training.
* Experience managing and developing HR team members.
* Strong employee relations capability with sound judgement and confidence handling complex cases.
* Background in manufacturing, industrial, or blue-collar environments.
* Excellent working knowledge of UK employment law.
* Pragmatic, resilient, and delivery-focused, with the confidence to operate at CEO level.
