The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Technicians.
* Be responsible for all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.
* Collaborate with operations to meet quality standards related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
* Manage mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring timely and safe execution of tasks.
* Work with Planning & Scheduling teams and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards during all work activities.
* Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Track work progress, ensure documentation is complete, and close out work orders in the CMMS system.
* Handle personnel matters such as timekeeping, holidays, and disciplinary issues.
* Develop job packs, RAMS, and maintenance schedules in collaboration with planners.
* Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and follow up on actions to improve equipment performance.
* Address mechanical faults and work delivery issues promptly.
* Promote a positive safety culture and ensure work complies with safety and quality standards.
* Supervise external OEM contractors and coordinate compliance inspections and maintenance planning.
This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, team management, and continuous improvement in maintenance activities.
