Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations, ensuring exceptional service and a vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts, with a passion for food and beverage management. This role requires effective leadership skills to manage a team, maintain high standards of food safety, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. The role will be heavily commission based with weekly sales targets to hit.
We are looking for someone 4-5 times a week depending on hours. Main days, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Friday/Saturday 1.30am closing time.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and controlling stock levels to minimise waste.
* Implement and uphold food safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
* Develop creative drink menus and collaborate with the kitchen on food production for events.
* Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in line with hospitality standards.
* Engage in local community events
* Prepare & host for festive events
Skills
* Proven supervisory experience in a bar or restaurant setting.
* Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
* Barista experience is a plus, enhancing our beverage offerings.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
