Investigo is supporting a multi-site organisation in the search for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their UK head office finance team based in Leicester, Hybrid working.
This is a key role within the group finance function, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities while ensuring high-quality consolidation, control and insight. The role sits at the centre of the month-end process and plays a critical part in ensuring group results are complete, consistent and well understood.
The position will suit a qualified accountant who enjoys combining hands-on reporting ownership with technical accounting, stakeholder engagement and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of monthly group reporting across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Support the end-to-end month-end close process, working to tight group deadlines
* Prepare consolidated management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and supporting schedules
* Ensure integrity of key financial areas including revenue recognition, cost accruals, prepayments and provisions
* Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
* Analyse group performance, providing commentary on key movements, trends and risks
* Support revenue and cost recognition processes across multiple operational revenue streams, including contract-based activity and WIP
* Work closely with operational and commercial teams to understand underlying performance drivers
* Assist in preparation of board and group reporting packs, including KPI and variance analysis
* Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting cycles across the group
* Liaise with auditors and support statutory reporting requirements where needed
* Drive improvements in reporting processes, controls and month-end efficiency
* Contribute to system and reporting enhancements, including automation and standardisation
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
* Strong experience in group reporting, management accounting or financial reporting roles
* Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-site organisation
* Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and consolidation principles
* Good knowledge of accruals, prepayments, provisions and revenue recognition
* Confident working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
* Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/consolidation systems
* Analytical, detail-focused and comfortable working to strict deadlines
£55,000 to £65,000 basic plus full benefits package to include Hybrid working (2 days office based)
