About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Team Lead to join our technology team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the deployment, support, maintenance, monitoring, and forecasting of our software systems in alignment with our strategic technology roadmap. You will work with a diverse set of modern technologies, including both on-premise solutions and cloud-based platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing emerging technologies for their suitability to our business needs, ensuring our systems remain innovative and efficient. As a leader, you will also foster a culture of continuous learning, staying abreast of advancements in internal tools, processes, and industry trends, while mentoring team members to achieve excellence.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Proven experience in software deployment, support, and maintenance
* Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure
* Experience with database management and querying (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
* Knowledge of scripting languages, particularly PowerShell
* Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Packer
* Hands-on experience with web servers such as Microsoft IIS and .NET framework
* Understanding of network configurations including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
* Experience working within agile environments using ticketing systems like JIRA
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Strong communication and leadership abilities
Responsibilities
* Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues related to systems, software, and data integrity
* Extract, query, and manipulate data from databases and log sources to support operational needs
* Troubleshoot both functional and non-functional issues, including performance and security concerns, across various systems
* Configure and manage infrastructure services such as TCP/IP networking, DNS, and DHCP, ensuring seamless software deployment and integration
* Lead project delivery through all phases of the change lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production support
* Share knowledge with team members through demonstrations, code reviews, and documentation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and contribute to the software development roadmap
* Develop and maintain technical documentation including procedures and work instructions
* Monitor and forecast system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
