The Role
Lecturer/Teacher of Psychology at HSDC, responsible for delivery of inspirational teaching, learning and assessment within the Health and Science department.
Courses
* Level 2 Psychology - Definitions and Illustration of Psychological Concepts
* Level 2 Psychology - Understanding the application and use of Psychological Concepts
* Level 3 Applied Psychology - Unit 2 - Research Methods in Psychology
Responsibilities
* Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
* Deliver formal scheduled teaching duties and student assessment.
* Record, share and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
* Prepare learning plans and schemes of work, keep relevant records and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
* Attend parents’ evenings, marketing and promotional events.
Requirements
* Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
* High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area.
* At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
* Degree in relevant subject (Desirable).
