We are looking for a full-time Theatre Porter with previous experience or someone with a genuine interest in this role.

You will work as a competent member of the theatre team, performing a wide range of duties across two sites. The effective use of the Trust's resources depends on the effectiveness of all staff.
You will support trained staff in ensuring the theatre and day surgery units are safe and pleasant for patients and staff, and you will be expected to undergo training as necessary.
No VISA sponsorship is available for this role.
Responsibilities include assisting qualified staff, preparing, cleaning, and maintaining theatre and day surgery areas, keeping all areas tidy, and facilitating good housekeeping. You will also:
1. Assist with patient transfers to and from wards pre- and post-operatively.
2. Support the ODP in the anaesthetic room, ensuring professional boundaries are maintained.
3. Help with transferring and positioning patients in theatre.
4. Maintain patient trolleys and equipment.
5. Collect blood from Blood Bank as needed.
6. Transfer specimens to Pathology.
7. Check and collect gas cylinders.
