Job Title: ADHD Teaching AssistantLocation: Wandsworth, London Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm Salary: Paid to scale We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate ADHD Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive school located in the vibrant community of Wandsworth, London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) within a mainstream classroom setting. Responsibilities: •Provide tailored support to students with ADHD, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. •Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the lead teacher and special educational needs coordinator (SENCO). •Employ a range of strategies that cater to the unique learning styles and behavioural management of students with ADHD. •Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support to enhance students' learning experiences. •Act as a liaison between students, teachers, and parents, providing regular updates on progress and any concerns that arise. •Contribute to creating an inclusive classroom environment that is sensitive to the needs of all learners. •Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and adapt resources to suit individual learning requirements. •Monitor and record student progress, ensuring any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. Qualifications: •Experience working with children with ADHD or related special educational needs is essential. •Strong understating of ADHD and its impact on learning and behaviour. •NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a related field, is desirable. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. •Committed to ongoing professional development.
